Overview

Humminbird APEX 16 MSI+ is a professional multifunction chartplotter/fish finder with a 15,6-inch Full HD touchscreen. It combines Humminbird MEGA Side Imaging+, MEGA Down Imaging+ and Dual Spectrum CHIRP sonar with built-in GPS and extensive networking. The Cross Touch interface lets the entire system be controlled from either the touchscreen or the physical keypad.

Full HD Cross Touch display

The 15,6-inch 1920 × 1080 display renders sonar and chart detail with exceptional sharpness. The optically bonded, sunlight-readable panel reduces glare and remains easy to read in bright conditions. Touch and keypad operation provide dependable control with wet hands or in rough water. Custom split-screen layouts can show charts, 2D sonar, side and down imaging and network data at the same time.

MEGA Imaging+ and Dual Spectrum CHIRP

Built-in MEGA Side Imaging+ and MEGA Down Imaging+ deliver high-resolution views to the sides and below the boat. MEGA Imaging+ reaches up to approximately 76 metres to either side, while Dual Spectrum CHIRP improves fish arches, target separation and bottom definition. A dedicated sonar channel supports optional 2D CHIRP transducers up to 2 kW. The unit also supports MEGA Live, MEGA Live 2 and MEGA 360 Imaging.

One-Boat Network and system expansion

APEX is designed as the centre of a complete marine electronics system. Ethernet and One-Boat Network connect other Humminbird displays, Minn Kota i-Pilot Link trolling motors, Built-In MEGA Imaging transducers and Talon or Raptor shallow-water anchors. Built-in NMEA 2000 can display engine, fuel, weather and other vessel data. AIS, radar, autopilot and wireless Cannon Optimum downrigger control are supported.

Connectivity and multimedia

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support software updates and compatible device control. Independent HDMI input and output ports connect cameras, video sources and additional displays. Two microSD slots can be used for charts, AutoChart Live data, screenshots and sonar recordings.

Navigation and mapping

The internal GPS supports accurate navigation, waypoints, routes and tracks. APEX is compatible with Humminbird LakeMaster, CoastMaster and Navionics charts and can create personal depth maps in real time with AutoChart Live. Chart and sonar information can be arranged side by side or in custom multi-window views.
