Detailed description

GPSMAP 1022xsv is a 10-inch colour chartplotter operated by keypad and multifunction rotary control. This arrangement suits users who prefer physical controls or operate in wet, cold and rough conditions. The 1024 × 600 WSVGA display presents charts, sonar, radar and vessel data clearly and supports split-screen layouts.

Built-in single-channel CHIRP, ClearVü and SideVü help locate fish and inspect bottom structure below and beside the boat. Panoptix and LiveScope support adds live views with a compatible transducer. The sonar choice in the variant menu defines the configuration; a transducer is included only when specifically stated.

GPS, navigation and mapping

The 10 Hz GPS and GLONASS receiver updates position and movement rapidly. The unit stores up to 5,000 waypoints, 100 routes, 50,000 track points and 50 saved tracks. Two microSD slots support compatible BlueChart or Garmin Navionics charts and user-data storage. Quickdraw Contours creates personal depth maps while underway.

Connectivity and system expansion

Two Garmin Marine Network ports, NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 integrate radar, sonar modules, autopilot, AIS, VHF radio, cameras and instruments. ANT supports compatible wireless remotes, while SailAssist provides start-line guidance, race timer, heading line, wind data and other sailing views.
