Detailed description

GPSMAP 923xsv is a network-capable chartplotter with a 9-inch high-resolution IPS touchscreen, suitable as the main display on a fishing boat or as part of a larger multi-display system. Its fast processor keeps chart drawing, sonar switching and menu operation responsive. A wide viewing angle and sunlight-readable display maintain visibility from different helm positions.

The xsv version includes built-in 1 kW support for traditional CHIRP, ClearVü and SideVü scanning sonar. A compatible transducer enables Panoptix and LiveScope live sonar. Sonar images and other network data can be shared with compatible Garmin displays, avoiding the need for a separate transducer on every screen.

GPS, navigation and mapping

The unit supports Garmin Navionics+, Garmin Navionics Vision+, Quickdraw Contours personal mapping and the ActiveCaptain app. GPS, GLONASS and Galileo provide rapid positioning. Auto Guidance can assist route planning with compatible charts, but it is an aid and does not replace safe seamanship or official navigation information.

Connectivity and system expansion

Garmin Marine Network, NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 integrate radar, autopilot, AIS, VHF radio, cameras, instruments and other marine electronics. OneHelm controls compatible third-party digital switching and vessel systems from the chartplotter. J1939 displays compatible engine data, while Wi-Fi and ANT connect apps and wireless accessories.
