Detailed description

The STRIKER series combines a compact colour display, Garmin CHIRP sonar and built-in high-sensitivity GPS. It is intended for anglers who want to see fish and bottom structure, mark productive locations and return to them later without requiring a full marine-chart chartplotter. The keypad interface is logical and remains dependable with wet hands or gloves.

CHIRP technology transmits a continuous frequency range rather than a single fixed frequency. Fish arches are therefore clearer, closely spaced targets are easier to separate and bottom definition improves. The supplied dual-beam transducer suits normal lake and coastal fishing; a compatible GT8 or GT15 transducer can be added when a higher-performance CHIRP solution is required.

Operation and viewing modes

The waypoint map stores harbours, ramps, stumps, shoals and fishing locations and provides a simple course back to a saved point. Boat speed on the display helps maintain an effective trolling speed and observe speed limits. A-Scope shows targets passing through the beam in real time, UltraScroll keeps targets visible at higher boat speeds and Auto Gain reduces unnecessary clutter.

The built-in flasher view also makes the unit suitable for vertical and ice fishing. It displays bottom, lure or bait and fish entering the sonar beam at the same time. The tilt-and-swivel mount provides a practical viewing angle, and the IPX7 rating protects against normal spray and accidental immersion.
